This national cemetery officially opened January 20, 2010. The first 7 interments happened on that day. As of autumn 2017, more than 11,000 veterans are buried here. Eventually, 124,951 people will be interred at Washington Crossing. And full capacity is expected to be reached in the year 2072.
Washington Crossing is about 205 acres in size. It is open daily from sunrise till sunset. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. till 4:30 p.m.
Honor guard volunteer opportunities are available for those who can prove they served in the military. Other volunteer opportunities are also available. Go to: www.guardiansofthenationalcemetery.org
Remembrance ceremonies are held in December with remembrance wreaths placed at each grave. Donations help with this cause. If you wish to donate, send checks to:
