This church was formed in the 1850's, but it wasn't until 1872 until the land for the cemetery was acquired. The first burial happened in 1873. The decedent was a woman who died of diphtheria. Back then, burial lots in the 8 x 10 foot size cost just $5. All these years later, the cemetery still has burial space available.
