St. Mary's Cemetery is located in West Grove, Chester County off of East Baltimore Pike. Though Google says the road is actually named East Evergreen Street. The Route 1 bypass is nearby.
I was stunned with the overwhelming stench in the air here. It appears the immediate culprit is a business called Nutra Soils Inc. Their soil composting operation, or whatever it is, can be seen through the trees from the cemetery. Though to be fair, there are multiple other composting and mushroom operations in the vicinity.
I felt bad for the residents here, and everyone in this nice town. I can only assume that they have been desensitized to the smell over time. To me, the air is intolerable. Two days later my car still smelled! And I was only there for 15 minutes.
TIP: If you are visiting, keep your car's air in the recirculate mode.
Of all the cemeteries I have been to, this one has the worst smelling air, by far.
