About:

The Woodlands is a large 54 acre historic cemetery that was established in 1840. It is in close proximity to the University Of Pennsylvania hospital district. One of the unusual aspects of this cemetery is it has a fairly large number of obelisks.

This non-profit cemetery is active with new burials and lots are still available for purchase. Their website says they limit burial lot sales to just 30 per year, though I am left wondering if that is just a spin on words. (They might be struggling to get customers.)

If you visit The Woodlands, take a look at the hourglass symbols on the main gates. Someone came up with a creative visual way to say "time flies."

According to their website, different sections have different costs. In Section K, a single grave in the flat marker section is $3600. A single grave in the upright section costs $4000. And cremation space is $1500.
